'sky looks grey in London city/ we stay graftin' cos we're gritty'

Found the rat in Crack Alley yesterday morning. London is enveloping me again. Went to see Mr Derek Meins in some secret Italian drinking club in Soho at the invitation of Mr James Indiecoke. Derek was great. Helen 1965 was knocking back the Fuhrer wine at a rate of knots. Then hooked up with Wasted Youth Sarah and we Addison Lee'd it (got into a bit of an MPV race with another car carrying The Metros - We won) onto the Water Rats to watch Kula Shaker (?!!) with Cornelius Hope.

Return Of The Gathering Of The Dark Lords

Just half an hour off the train and already straight back in Tha Endz. The Chris Penn Suite then onto Madam Jo Jo's to watch The New Puritans as the Islands arrived. There was an inevitable strange hue to the proceedings from that point on. Had a very good talk with J Ol (first time we'd talked properly for years) I bailed at midnight then some Aussie blew chunks all over me on the Tube home. Subsequently I got jumped by a Stockwell Crackhead for a few quid walking back to Dailytitlows. Welcome back to town! fucking great to see everyone though.

Pedigree Chums

Shorty gave Dogface his tea tonight. Elsewhere one of my Agents supplied me with terrifying Youtube footage of Kaiser Soutar marching his minions into the Gas Chamber. It's all the evidence we will ever need to convict him and send him to the gallows (a fate he so richly deserves)in the forthcoming Rock 'N Roll Nuremberg Trials . On a much more important note if you have any old CD's , Books, DVD's etc please put them in an envelope addressed to 'A British Service Person' Iraq or Afghanistan and take it to the post office. It will be very much appreciated.

Ever Had The Feeling You're Gonna Be Cheated?

So The Pistols are going to play Brixton. What a bunch of rotters. It was a terrible idea back in 1996 and an even worse one now. I remember hearing 'Pretty Vacant' on the radio in my Dad's Morris Marina at the age of 6 in 1977. It's a very precious memory that I'm not going to destroy by watching the old gits fanny about on stage for the pleasure of various Graphic Designers, Advertising executives and Footballers. Sid must be spinning in his grave. Punk Rock was never meant to be a heritage industry.

Banjo Joe

And his glamorous assistant Rebbecca. The girls who work with Joe are really into 80's music so I found myself listening to 'Ghosts' by Japan as my last corrupt tooth was removed. Strange. Thankfully the final visit today to the house of pain. Back to FHM next week free of toothache but in the meantime I'm sailing away on the good ship Tramacet....."from distant lands" etc....

Brown Barrel Birthday

Banjo Joe continued to fight World War Z in my mouth all afternoon then Liverpool Sarah and her mum took me numb gummed over the road for Warsteiner analgesics and the pub quiz. The questions ranged from Dream Academy lyrics to the Charles Manson murders. Next year I shall be at The Shore Club on South Beach sipping French Martinis (with perfect teeth)

Fear And Loathing On Hessle Road

Another visit to Banjo Joe for a couple of 'A-Traumatic Extractions' (although it seemed pretty fucking traumatic to me) Hessle Road is where all the crazy people in Hull live. The Punch And Judy guy walks up and down the street all day talking to himself.

Happy B Day Dailytitlow

He's halfway there! Painting was interrupted to help out the teenage barmaids of Halesworth retouch the pictures they have had taken for the forthcoming 'Nude Barmaids Of Halesworth 2008' calender. Tough gig. Daniel spent some more time asleep then we went for dinner with Mr and Mrs Chap at a local Gastropub. What a great part of the world East Anglia is.

The Social (No Not That One)

Saturday night in Halesworth. It was like Soho House for Yokels.

The Greatest Book Thief In The World

Dropped by new chums Will and Emma's place. They bought the house off a bloke called Duncan Jevons who spent thirty years stealing over 40,000 books from libraries, schools and churches. The house is still stuffed with his ill-gotten gains. Very weird.

Halesworth In 2 Seconds

Down to Lovejoy land to help out on the Not So Grand Designs.

Taken at Tales Of The Jackaloupe last year. Quite pleased they won the Mercury (they are the nu-rave A Certain Ratio) but slightly sad as I was almost moved to tears by their rival Mrs Amy Housewine's set on the telly last night. No way I could pick up a camera today due to incessant Molar distress. I think Omar Little from The Wire is my favourite ever fictional character (or maybe running a close second to George Smiley)

Emo Action Figure

Bumped into this kid today. He was telling me about how his parents didn't understand him and he was thinking about holing up in his bedroom for a bit and writing some poetry, maybe doing a bit of self-harm and possibly listening to a little My Comical Romance. What's up with the kids these days? In my time it was all Texas Is The Reason, Rites Of Spring and Sunny Day Real Estate. Hum. In other news I spent a night of pure crystal evil agony last night with the toothache and today visited 'Banjo Joe The Dentist' (he plays in my Dads Folk band) and he pulled the offending denture out of my gum for union rates. Strangely satisfying; like a good punch in the face and a blessed relief. It's seems I'm going to be seeing alot of Banjo Joe in the near future....I have 18th Century teeth.

Volvo Valhalla

After some soul searching I finally decided today to summon the mechanical Valkyries and send my ol' 440 to great Hall Of The Slain in the sky. She was a trusty old stead who safely transported me for years on my daily 60 mile round trip commute from Dark Farm in Sussex to Golf Punk Towers through blizzards, electrical storms and melting tarmac. If anyone knows of a Pre-1993 Saab 900 Turbo with the Whale-Tail (in black of course) going for a song please let me know. Elsewhere I think I may have caught a dose of 'Captain Tripps' off Jolly the other night so it's an early one for me then.
